# Lynqyo token: $LNQ

$LNQ Token is a Content Economy Protocol Currency; and requires financial instruments to enable payments, incentives and rewards. $LNQ is a token on the Polygon network, and serves three major functions.

Governance - As a governance token, it provides holders with voting rights for the election of validators and council members, and for the adjustment of the key parameters through referendums.

Utility - $LNQ token is a currency that is used as a means of payment in any financial transaction (i.e. subscriptions fees, smart contracts etc.)

Proof of engagement - Users are rewarded $LNQ tokens by specific engagement metrics (UER: User Engagement Rewards ratio) in order to sustain and re-distribute underlying tokenized content.
